The CAP Repair Assistance program is designed to help consumers bring their vehicles into compliance with California emission standards. Through the CAP program the State will pay the CAP repair shop you choose up to $500.00 dollars for repair work performed on your vehicle!

CA Vehicle Retirement - The Vehicle Buy Back program is BACK! The Bureau of Automotive Repair's (BAR) Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) is again offering a voluntary Vehicle Retirement Program. This program buys high-polluting vehicles from motorists. To qualify for the program your vehicle must fail its biennial smog check. The program will offer $1000 per vehicle as long as funds are available. You must first apply to CAP and obtain approval prior to receiving payment from a CAP-authorized dismantler.
