The exhaust headers you've installed on your Toyota pickup truck must have
an EO number affixed to them. All California legal exhaust headers have a
stamp on them with an Executive Order number indicated they are legal for
sale and use in California. Older aftermarket components may not have a
stamp but will be shipped with paperwork indicating the model, design, and
EO number; which you would provide the smog technician before the smog check
proceeds.
At this point you can return to the emission test center with your header's
documentation and ask for a re-test. There may or may not be a fee involved
for the retest.
