2002 Mitsubishi Diamante ES bought in 2009 needs smog check again. Why?

MY CAR IS A 2002 MITSUBISHI DIAMANTE ES. I BOUGHT IT IN 02/2009 AND I HAD TO GET IT SMOGED BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET MY TAGS UP TO DATE. SO WHY DO I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN?


Answer:		The smog check required to transfer title during a vehicle's purchase is separate from the smog inspection required during a vehicle's registration renewal purpose. And so...
