1980 Chevy Camaro Engine Emission Required Smog Parts
According to the Motor Emissions Guide a 1980 Chevy Camaro with a 350 engine came in Federal Emissions Configuration only. The vehicle may be registered in California after passing a smog test. No modification or emissions system tamper is allowed. The following engine emissions components are required:
Engine Management: Non-Computer Controlled
Fuel Induction: 4 Barrel Carburetor
Ignition Timing: Timed at number one cylinder. 6BTDC @ 500RPM with distributor advance vacuum hose disconnected and plugged; for automatic transmissions. 6BTDC @ 700RPM with distributor advance vacuum hose disconnected and plugged; for manual transmissions.
