Unfortunately, as of the time of this post, there are no California assistance programs that help pay for vehicle registration fees. All fees must be paid to the DMV in full in order to renew or complete initial vehicle registration in California. We should also note the DMV does not accept credit cards. Accepted forms of payment are cash, check, ATM/debit card and money order.
