My 1999 GMC Suburban passed the smog check except for the new catalytic converter that was replaced in 2013. The smog test says it "doesn't match the truck number engine family", yet there is no replacement part available. The vehicle passed everything else. The mechanic could not find replacement part for this vehicle. What do I do?
Answer:
Magnaflow shows they have a catalytic converter (universal fit and California 50-State Emissions approved) for use on a 1999 GMC Suburban.
If you have difficulty locating a CAT you may contact the California Emission Parts Locator at (800) 622-7733.
