1986 Mitsubishi Gallant Catalytic Converter Warranty

Upon driving my Mitsubishi Gallant I noticed a clacking coming from the vehicle. It went away for a few days but then began again. When driving uphill, I noticed a large decrease in power and a much louder noise. After having a friend diagnose the problem, I concluded it was the catalytic converter. I had the repair done to pass emmisions in 2010. According to federal and California warranty, the part falls under the year and mileage limitations. Does the warranty count for parts as well, or only based off the 1986 factory parts?

Based on the information you've provided we do not believe your 1986 Mitsubishi Gallant falls under either California or Federal Emissions Warranty coverage.
