1997 Toyota Camry Engine Problems Can Not Get Smog Test

Hi. I have a 1997 Toyota Camry with a busted camshaft and engine head. The engine won't start so I can't drive it to get a smog check. I have already paid the registration fees ahead of time and just need to get the smog check done but now I can't even get the car to move an inch. It is now over 30 days past the due date for my registration and when I go to the DMV they tell me I can't do anything unless I have smog test results or pay a penalty. What steps should I take from here?


Answer:		You can either get a Temporary Operating Permit or place your Toyota Camry under Non-Operational Status in order to avoid penalty fees, and untill you have your Toyota Camry repaired.
