There has to be more to this situation. There is no reason a California
certified smog test center would not be able to smog check your Nissan
Sentra; unless the particular smog station is regular (test & repair) smog
center which can only conduct smog inspections on non-test only directed
vehicles, and your Nissan needs to be tested at a "test only" smog check
center. Look over your DMV registration renewal notice. If it indicates
"test only or gold shield certification required" then you'll need to find a
test only smog center or gold shield smog station in your area. A regular
test and repair smog station will not be able to smog check your Nissan. I
would contact the smog station in question and ask them exactly why they can
not test your car.
