There are two ways you can reset your Honda Accord's check engine light (CEL). One is by simply removing the battery's negative cable for 5-10 minutes and cycling the ignition switch on and off once. The problem with this is that your radio settings will be erased as well.
The second option (recommended) is to remove the 10 AMP ECU fuse located in the under hood fuse box. Find and remove the ECU fuse. Reinstall the fuse after 5 minutes. Turn your Honda Accord's ignition switch to on position. All dash lights should illuminate, including the check engine light (CEL). Upon starting the engine the lights should turn off (including the check engine light). If you notice the Check Engine Light still on this indicates the fault has not been repaired, or a second fault exists.
