I am having a hard time with my 1988 Chevy Caprice Classic 5.0 carburator motor. I want to pass smog check, and I have replaced almost everything, but it still won't pass, and I am stumped.
I want to know how to pinpoint the trouble codes, or I want to know if you sell a flow chart for smog issues. I am looking for some practical solutions. I have a great vehicle, and I put a lot of money into it for smog check, but I am having a hard time passing smog a lot of the numbers are to high, but I have a very good motor, so I like the $450.00 waiver, but I don't want to get my hopes up because I don't know how difficult it will be.
I don't want to change my longblock or my intake manifold in good conditon. I have changed almost all parts but a couple, and I don't want to mess around with the vehicle. I want to pass smog test. I am having a very hard time with how to properly hook my diverter valve and rest for smog because I bought all of them, and I want to have them hooked up right, but I don't know who to pay or where to get simple diagram for emission test because mine is to worn to read.
