Bringing in Out of State 2004 Honda Civic

I am considering the purchase of a Honda Civic from out of state. I reside in California and am concerned about meeting the smog requirements.

Will this vehicle be in compliance? if not, I won't purchase, as I can not afford the upgrades to comply.

You will be able to register this 2004 Honda Civic in California without additional emissions components. Used vehicles being brought into California from our-of-state can pass the California smog test with out needing any emission system modification or upgrade. So long as this Honda's original (federal) emission system has not been tampered with and the vehicle passes the California emissions test it can be registered here.
