Calaveras is a Change of Ownership smog check area, meaning smog tests are only required when buying or selling a vehicle. Galt is a Partially Enhanced smog check program area, meaning a smog check is required every two years at a regular smog check station (partial enhanced smog check program areas do not have nor require Test Only certification).
By changing your registration address your Nissan Frontier will no longer need smog checks every two years.
