Diesel Jeep in Europe needs CA smog test

I have a 2005 diesel Jeep that I shipped to Europe to use on business when I am there. It is insured in Europe by AIG. Can I renew my CA registration without shipping the car back to CA for the test?


Answer:		You DO NOT need to bring your Diesel Jeep back to California in order to complete your registration. Simply fill out and sign DMV's "Statement of Facts" form explaining that your vehicle is out of state (or country) and the registration tags will be mailed to you.
